My name is Cody Katen and upon moving to Washington in 1999 from my home state of Nebraska (Go Huskers!), I came to learn the value of good insurance at a young age when my heart suddenly stopped, leading me to a heart transplant in the months following, and then later
a battle with cancer as well. Life is full of the unexpected and when it does surprise us the decisions we’ve made about insurance become monumental and can shape the trajectory of our lives for good or for bad.

I come from a background of 7 years in law enforcement, as well as now the 4th generation of my family working in the insurance industry. Both of these backgrounds have reinforced the desire within me to want to serve and help others. As a Christian I value integrity in my relationships and as a foundation in this profession of service. And as a husband and father I personally understand the importance of seeking wise counsel when it comes to making life’s decisions that will provide for and take care of the ones you love most.

This is why I have chosen to work with Insurance Producers Network.
